A little about me
I’m excited to get to know you and help you take the next step in your photography business, but first, here’s a little about how I got here.
I started out like many photographers do—as “a mom with a camera.”
I’m completely self-taught. It all started with taking photos of my oldest daughter in our backyard with my cell phone. I captured one photo that I really loved and thought, “Wow, this is really good. I wonder if I could do something with this?”
I shared that wild idea with my husband, who supported me wholeheartedly. We bought a starter camera, and I dove in.
I practiced constantly and photographed just about everything I could—people and their dogs, couples, weddings, births, and eventually, lots and lots of families. Along the way, I discovered that working with children and capturing the connection between family members was where I felt most at home. So I intentionally niched down and leaned all the way in.
Eight years later, I’ve built a successful family photography business by learning through experience, plenty of trial and error, and a whole lot of figuring things out along the way.
I believe there is always more to learn. I’m still learning, refining, and growing in my own business—and I think that’s a good thing. But I also know how valuable it can be to have someone a few steps ahead who can help you see what you might be missing, share what has worked (and what hasn’t), and help shorten the learning curve.
That’s what I want to offer you.
I’m not here to tell you there is one “right” way to be a photographer or build a business. I want to help you figure out what works for you, where you are right now, and what your next step can be.

You don’t have to figure out your next step alone.
Maybe you’re just getting started and have no idea where to focus first. Maybe you’ve been photographing families for a while but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure what to work on next.
Wherever you are in your photography journey, I’m here to help you figure out your next step.
My 1:1 mentoring sessions are completely customized to you, your photography, and your business. We can talk through the areas where you need the most support—from improving your photography and client experience to strengthening your website, streamlining your workflow, or figuring out how to grow your business in a way that works for you.
I’m not here to give you a giant list of things you should be doing.
Instead, we’ll look at where you are right now, talk through what’s working and what isn’t, and focus our time on the things that will actually help you move forward.
Choose the support that fits you:
One 1-hour Mentoring Session — $250
A focused, personalized session built around the questions, challenges, or goals you bring to the table.
This is a great fit if you have something specific you want help with, need another perspective, or want to talk through a challenge with someone who understands the realities of running a photography business.
Two 1-hour Mentoring Sessions — $450
Two sessions on separate days, giving you the opportunity to not only talk through your goals, but actually put them into practice.
We’ll use the first session to identify your priorities and make a plan for what you want to work on. When we meet again, we can talk through what you accomplished, troubleshoot anything that got in the way, and tackle any new questions that came up along the way.
Sometimes you don’t need more information. You need someone to help you see what comes next, make a plan, and keep moving.
