Photography Education for Family Photographers
If you’re ready to grow your family photography business, the right photography education can make all the difference. My courses and mentoring are designed specifically for photographers who want to strengthen their client experience, improve their workflow, and build a sustainable photography business with confidence. Inside my education programs, I share the exact systems, strategies, and pre-session workflows I use in my own family photography business—developed through years of real experience, trial and error, and continuous learning. Whether you’re looking for a step-by-step photography course, practical tools you can implement right away, or personalized photography mentoring, my goal is to give you the knowledge, structure, and support you need to grow with clarity and intention.
“Beautiful images start long before the shutter clicks—they begin with connection.”
Hello! I’m Morgan!
I really look forward to getting to know you and helping you grow but first, here’s a bit about me.
I started out like many – “a mom with a camera”. I am completely self-taught; I started out taking photos of my oldest daughter in my back yard using my cell phone. I got a good photo and thought “wow this is really good, I wonder if I can do something with this”? I shared this wild idea with my husband who supported me full speed ahead. We got a starter camera and I dove in! Through lots of practice and taking photos of all kinds of things; people and their dogs, couples, weddings, births I found that family photography, working with kids is my passion. So intentionally niched down and leaned all in!
I run a successful and growing business. I communicate in an intentional, loving, gentle way filled with lots of visuals. I have learned through trial and error what works and what doesn’t and I am thankfully still learning. I believe this is something we all should be striving for – the growing and learning never really ends nor do we want it to! I am excited to share what I have learned in the hopes of helping you learn and grow and avoid mistakes! Having a photography mentor really speeds up the learning curve, and gives you a growth spurt in your business, so let’s dive in together!
“A strong photography business is built on trust, preparation, and an unforgettable client experience.”

Once you have purchased, you can go at your own pace and review any lessons whenever you need a refresh.
A pre-session workflow is a process I use to prepare my clients before the actual session. It is a repeatable series of actions I take with every client ensuring me and my client arrive feeling relaxed, ready and prepared.
This is not an “extra” step, it is an essential part of the foundation of my client experience. By taking the time to intentionally prepare every client, the work pays off!
My clients feel valued, seen, heard and know that they are important to me. I have eased any fears/worries they might not even be aware that they are holding onto. I take time to connect with them, their family, their story. This builds their confidence, trust and connection with me.
I “break the ice” before we meet in the parking lot and the whole session flows smoother and more harmoniously.
The preparation work lays the foundation and sets the tone for the session itself.
I intentionally build on the trust I’ve already built with them through a solid website, social media presence or in person interactions.
Through this preparation I explain my process, what they can expect, help them style their outfits, and meet them where they are by easing any fears, worries or concerns they may or may not even be conscious of.
By preparing my clients in this way, they arrive feeling relaxed and ready.
After my clients have booked, signed my contract and paid their invoice.
Preparation Emails:
I send out multiple emails filled with helpful information, my process and what to expect.
TIP: Think of what you want your clients to know. For example, do you want them to bring snacks for their kids, favorite snuggly items, etc.
Styling Guidance:
I offer styling help. I help my clients pick out colors that coordinate and plan outfits for their whole family. I want them to feel comfortable and confident.
TIP: Have them pick one outfit and build from there.
The Power Of The Phone Consult:
The phone consult is my secret success tool. It really allows me to connect deeply with my clients before the session to provide them with a personal experience.
TIP: Come up with a series of questions that would be helpful for you to know prior to the session
Common Mistakes Photographers Make:
- Sending no prep information
- Not guiding outfit selection
- Poor communication
- No set expectations
I have made all those mistakes myself! That is how I came up with my pre-session workflow – through trial and error! I have learned that clients who feel prepared and ready have a much more successful session, love their images, become repeat clients and bring in referrals.
Over my time in business, I have left countless sessions feeling a bit frazzled, confused, frustrated – wondering why it didn’t “flow”.
Since I have implemented my pre-session workflow I arrive feeling confident, ready and prepared to lead my clients through a memorable experience.
My clients arrive feeling relaxed, ready, no “ice breaking” feeling. They know they are important to me and they are ready and excited to be a part of the experience I provide.
I have more repeat clients, which means consistent income. My clients refer me to their friends and family, helping me to grow my business.
My images are deeper, stronger, you can really feel the love, joy and connection.
