How long does it take to receive galleries? 

I send out a sneak peek within 2 days of our session and the remainder will come within 3 weeks. If I am running behind, I will communicate that, I do try my best to stick to my 3 week turnaround time! 

Why do you do a phone consult prior to the session? 

I focus on capturing images that feel candidly you, that tell your family’s story. My clients get to know me by looking through my website or following me on social media. The phone consult gives me a chance to get to know my clients, their hearts and what matters most to them during our session. I believe this helps me to create the images that draw people to my work… connected moments. 

Do you offer styling help? 

Yes, I do! I am happy to help you style your family. I work together with my clients to find outfits that feel comfortable and photograph well. We nail down colors and then I send over some outfit ideas in those colors. I also have a client closet full of dresses in all different sizes. 

Why do you shoot so late? Can we shoot earlier? 

I shoot during a time of day known as golden hour. It’s when the light is creamy and beautiful! I know it can feel intimidating pushing bedtime but it’s worth it! If you do feel like your little one isn’t ready to push bedtime, a spring or fall session would be best when the sun sets earlier. 

How do you work with kids? 

Working with children is my passion. I absolutely love being silly, making silly noises, telling jokes genuinely connecting with kids and finding out what helps them to relax and feel comfortable. This allows for their natural smiles and expressions to shine through. I am a mom myself and know that children sometimes need time to warm up or get a little wild and excited in a new place with a new person. I have lots of fun ideas to keep them engaged! 

Tips for pushing bedtime? 

I know this can be intimating! Most children do really well, they are in a new place exploring and playing. Making the photoshoot be the highlight of your day, so they don’t arrive over tied! Keeping your thoughts light and fun, kids are in tune with their parents emotions. Bring pjs to change into for the ride home! 

Do you reschedule for bad weather?

Yes! I do not shoot in the rain. I watch the weather apps closely and do my very best to make the right call! I make the call the night before or the day of the session since the weather can shift so quickly! 

Can we bring our dogs?

Yes! If they are friendly! One thing to consider is if they are high energy and wild… will that feel stressful? If so, that might take away from your experience as you are trying wrangle and settle your dogs. 

Do you offer extended family sessions? 

I sure do! Love them! I know it can be a lot coordinating everyone’s schedules but goodness it’s worth it! I am happy to help style everyone, just let me know if you’d like help! I charge an additional $10.00 extra per person outside of the immediate family.
